What are you broadly responsible for?
As a Service Technician at Westland Auto, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for our Members’ vehicles. you will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, servicing, and repairing of dealership, Member, and warranty vehicles.
Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to Member success will ensure the safety and optimal performance of the vehicles we service. You will work in a dynamic team environment, collaborating with service advisors and other technicians to deliver exceptional automotive service.
You would report to the Service Manager.

What are your regular tasks?
- Performs a full range of skilled automotive repair work, from minor tune-ups and electrical system servicing to engine overhauls.
- Conducts inspections on vehicles in order to determine all issues present
- Use scanners to pull error codes and help determine potential issues with vehicles
- Diagnoses vehicles to determine the corrective action necessary.
- Clean and organize the work area daily and ensure proper maintenance of tools, equipment, and personal workstation.
- Notes down all work performed, parts used, and repairs conducted
- Communicates effectively with Service Advisor to explain findings, repair recommendations, and parts needed
- Road test vehicles
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and enhance service efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and follow proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Follow dealership policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Other duties as needed

What would your work environment be like?
This is a full-time position that will require the standard working hours, Monday – Friday, with occasional flexibility required based on business needs. It primarily operates in a service department within a car dealership but will require some driving. The environment will be fast-paced, require standing, walking, bending, and lifting of heavy objects, and you will be exposed to noise, chemicals, and weather elements. It will also involve some interaction with Members and staff in a service-oriented environment.
You would be part of a very positive atmosphere where all of us have a lot of fun and treat each other like family while never letting up on achieving results. You can expect to be frequently recognized for achievement and be well taken care of.

What would you help accomplish?
Your contributions will have a direct impact on vehicle reliability, available inventory, and Member success/experience. By having more available inventory, you would help more Members find and be drawn to us. You would aid Members in maintaining their vehicles and provide exceptional speed of service to always allow Members to get back on the road quickly and safely. You would be the continued means of maintaining Member success and increasing their trust in us, which would allow the accounts department to be able to collect on their loan without hindrance and help increase our Members’ credit scores.
Ultimately, you would contribute to the overall success of our company’s vision of empowering credit-challenged individuals with reliable transportation and the necessary tools for financial stability.

What do we expect from you?
- 2 years of experience or a combination of education and work experience.
- Must have own general tools.

Your compensation would be structured as:
- Base Pay Range paid on the 5th and the 20th of every month
- Semi-Monthly Bonus based on hitting predetermined goals
